Today I started my (hopefully) last semester of school! Cue the Hallelujah Chorus! Well, maybe not just yet, we can cue that choir at the end of the semester, when I have passed all my classes.
It is an interesting concept, this school thing. I was thinking today that we voluntarily subject ourselves to this brutally stressful thing, and do so to make more money in our lives, which again is a stressful concept. Now, I know what you're thinking, "Wow Cassie way to over think it", or " You're taking this way too seriously", and you know what? You're Right! I am looking way too hard into what is wrong with school, and sometimes that is just what my mind does. It analyzes my life, now that I'm thinking of it maybe school trained my mind to be like this! Ah the irony would be beautiful!
You know what I am grateful for though, that I was taught to go to school from a young age and that I have stuck with it. It made me grow as a person and gave me something to be proud I accomplished, even if I don't remember exactly how to write a perfect HTML document, or if I have forgotten what years were important to our country from American Heritage class. There is always the Internet for those!
by the way, do you think this looks like $362.84 worth of books? Nope? I didn't think so either
So three cheers to a new semester! New beginnings and fresh starts are always refreshing now matter how grim the future looks!
